MedQIA utilizes service-oriented groups to bring our science and analytic technology to clinical trials. These groups include Client Services, Clinical Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance teams.
Neil Rosenfield, CPA – Chief Executive Officer
Neil completed his Bachelor of Commerce and H. Dip. Acc. studies at the University of Natal in South Africa and received his certification as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1983. He immigrated to the US in 1986 and then received his California CPA in 1987. Neil has more than thirty years of experience in all aspects of client business affairs, with a practice primarily in the healthcare field and is a partner of the CPA firm Squar Milner, LLP. Neil has been a consultant with MedQIA since its inception in 2007 and oversees all of our accounting functions and financial activities, including set up and approval of processes and procedures related to finance and in addition serves as the CPA for MedQIA, LLC
Leanne Praw, Financial Controller
Leanne obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991 and has been the owner of a successful business that provides both personal and business financial management services to a variety of clients since 2001, and has more than 25 years of experience in financial services. Leanne joined the MedQIA team in 2007 and in 2014 she was appointed the Financial Controller. As the Financial Controller, she is responsible for establishing and implementing financial systems, strategies and processes for MedQIA, as well as, reviewing and negotiating all financial contracts and providing long term financial planning. Her team is responsible for a wide range of financial and administrative tasks including daily accounting functions, HR services, payroll, invoicing and sponsor fund management.
Laura Guzman, Director of Quality
Laura has been involved in QA activities with MedQIA since 2009. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Biology in Colombia, she moved to Chicago and worked as a research technologist with an immunology group. In addition to holding a master’s degree from Northwestern University, she has a MS in Regulatory Science from the University of Southern California. She has expertise in QMS development and QA activities, GCP and ethical principles in clinical research, as well as compliance auditing for GCP and validation of computer systems. She enjoys living in the San Joaquin Valley, exploring local produce markets and hiking in the Yosemite National Park every weekend.
Megan McRoberts, Senior Manager Of Global Operations
Megan McRoberts has a degree in Social and Behavioral Science and a certificate with honors, in Clinical Trial Conduct and Management, through UC Berkeley. Megan has worked in the Medical Industry for over 12 years and specializes in all aspects of Clinical Trial Management. Megan’s combined passion for science and love of people drive her to provide outstanding customer service and care for our internal team as well as our clients.
Bharath Ramakrishna, Director of Engineering/Product
MedQIA’s Director of Engineering/Product, leads development and marketing of MedQIA’s software product with quality and regulatory compliance. He brings more than a decade of experience in research and development, engineering and product management. He is passionate about productizing cutting-edge research at scale, developing business strategy and building high-performance collaborative teams.
Bharath has a BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in Bangalore (India), MS, PhD in Computer Engineering from University of Maryland and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He holds several patents in Computer Vision and Medical Imaging.
Detra Cranfield, Human Resources Manager
Detra is a dedicated Human Resource professional, completing her Human Resource Management program at Loyola Marymount University, she brings over 20 years of experience to MedQIA; that was obtained while working in levels of Management within Fortune 500 company offices, and personal businesses. She joined the MedQIA team in October 2014 and provides service within the HR, Finance, and Administration departments. She is responsible for overseeing all Human Resource processes including onboarding, HR orientation and training coordination, assisting with recruitment, payroll processing, employee relations, assisting with departmental controlled documentation and database management, managing all courier transactions and billing, as well as other the day to day departmental needs.
